East Cornwall Divers: 1989 – 2014

East Cornwall Divers has recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary in March 2014!

A celebratory dive was booked from local hardboat Maid Maggie II, however, the weather turned against us and the dive has had to be postponed until May.

Not to be deterred, we had a great turnout to the buffet and social evening in the club on the Saturday evening – with faces old and new, including some of the club’s founding members!

Here’s to the next 25 years!

Thanks to Sports England, the National Lottery, and the Torpoint Mosquito Sailing Club, we now have a new store room / unit at the sailing club, and we’ve moved in!

The new buildings were opened on the weekend of 28th-29th September 2013, with an ‘Open Weekend’ to mark the occasion. Unfortunately the weather was poor which affected the turnout, however we are pleased to welcome several new members and potential new trainees to the club as a result!

The new unit gives us a secure and accessible place to keep our club kit, service kit and even members own kit.

Our new website has launched! Aiming to encourage potential new members to get in touch, in addition to providing useful information about diving in Devon & Cornwall, our new website is much easier for members to contribute content to.
