The Club meets on a Wednesday at Torpoint Rowing Club from 8pm onwards. It's a chance to meet socially and to discuss and plan dives. Diving takes place during most weekends throughout the year, and in the summer evening dives are also arranged.

Club Equipment

logos/Scuba002.wmf (20726 bytes)In October 1998 we were lucky to receive a Sports & Arts Foundation grant. As a result we were able to purchase a new RIB. The boat is fully equipped with differential GPS and Echo Sounder etc.  The Club possesses six full sets of diving equipment, which can be used by club members or visiting divers alike.

Club Dives

The Club has a variety of dive sites, all of which have been mentioned on this website. For more information check out the links to the left of this page.

DIVE Magazinelogos/Scuba001.jpg (25696 bytes)

The Club has had a few mentions in DIVE magazine over the years. We have a reputation of being a very friendly club, who welcomes divers from all agencies to come join us for a dive as a visiting diver, or to join the club as a full diving member.  Click the link below to see the latest DIVE Magazine Article for September 2004.

Diving in South-East Cornwall

This area has some of the best diving in Cornwall. From Plymouth Sound in the East, to Polperro in the West, and as far south as the Eddystone, and Hand Deeps. All of the dive sites in this area are easily reached by RIB in about 30-40 minutes (allowing for reasonable conditions) from Looe.

South-East Cornwall has a great deal to offer in the way of diving. The water in this area is often very clear in comparison to the rest of the UK, especially out towards the Eddystone and Hand deeps. From Novice diver to Advanced diver, there is something to suit every divers needs.

If your planning a dive in this area visit the pages listed above. They contain useful information for any diver who has considered planing a trip to this area.

How to find ustorpoint.jpg (69986 bytes)

FROM THE WEST. Follow the A374 into Torpoint. Keep on this road until you reach the ferry lanes for the Torpoint ferry (at this point the Club is on the right). Turn left. Turn right at the next junction. At the traffic lights follow the one-way system all the way around. The club is past the ferry slips on the left.

FROM THE EAST. Either follow the A38 across the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall and take the A374 to Torpoint and follow the directions above, or take the A386 (signposted Home Park) from the A38 on the Plymouth Parkway. Keep on the A374 following the signs for the B3396 (Stoke) and the Torpoint Ferry. The club is on the left after disembarking the ferry.
